The subtle tweaks that mark the new Völkl Mantra 88 Skis only serve to make it more dialed than ever. What’s different? The carbon fibers in the tips no longer bend upward in a smile, but seem to be frowning at you – you’ll be happy about the change, though, since it makes the ski bend into the turn a bit more smoothly and increases straightline stability at the high end. Völkl also adjusted the width of the Tailored Titanal Frame a tiny bit for a bit more torsional stiffness underfoot and less at the tip. End result, a hard charging ski with tons of power and edgehold to burn that will appeal to strong skiers who push the limits.
